Fall Break

We were all worried we would have a boring Fall Break but it ended up being so fun!

One night while Trent had to teach the kids wanted to have movie night. 

They got their pillows and blankets while I popped popcorn and got them a chocolate banana smoothie. We watched Nightmare Before Christmas. I was worried it might scare Ruby or Finn but they loved it. 

 The next morning Trent let me sleep in till 9 and then woke me up and said lets take the kids to breakfast.  So I hurried and got ready and we went to Dennys, yum, haha not! It was close and cheap and the kids loved it! Finn was so dang cute at breakfast and kept hugging Trent and saying, Yay breakfast! Its little family days like this that I love! And I guess the kids love too!

 That night my parents invited us all to go pick out to pick pumpkins and then take us to dinner.  We tried to go to a local nursery to get free pumpkins and a hay ride but the line was over 2 hours long and when we got there they weren't taking anymore people. But we ended up doing something more fun and will probably be our new Halloween tradition.  

We went to Day Farms in Layton and for $5 a person you got a hayride and pick a pumpkin of your choice! The kids loved the ride, it was really long too. The ride took us out to a big pumpkin patch and we all got to pick out any size pumpkin we wanted! 

 The weather was perfect and the kids were so good.  We went with my parents, my bro and his fiance and my sister Amy and her family but of course I didn't get pictures of any of them. 

 Finn ran out and found the perfect pumpkin and kept pointing to it saying,

 "This one! This one! Finn's pumpkin!"

 He didn't want put it down and I'm glad he picked one he could carry.  He loves his pumpkin. I find him on the front porch playing with it like its his new buddy. I just hope he doesn't drop it and break it, that would be a sad day.
