Mirror Lake

Almost every Labor Day we go with the Maw's four wheeling to the cabin, but this year we decided to go somewhere else.  Lane, Trents dad, suggested we head up to Mirror Lake which is a little over 2 hours away to hike and explore.  Its something our families love doing and we have to take advantage of it while the weather is still nice. the weather is still nice.

 

 We stopped at a few stops along the way, this place I think was called Provo Veil Falls, it was beautiful!

I am not sure what my boys are doing in this picture, I just asked them to smile and I got a smile out of Ruby, a weird Rock and Roll pose out Hudson and the peace sign or "2" out of Finn. Dorks!

 We totally forgot jackets, I should've known that in septembet at 10,000 feet it would be cold. So luckily Lane had some extra clothes and jackets in his truck.  We made do with what he had. Finn stayed warm at least!

We ate lunch and then headed off to hike around the Lake, it was perfect weather and absolutely beautiful!!

 We forgot the backpack carrier for Finn and we were a little worried he wouldn't do well but he almost walked the whole way.  He kept seeing things move in the water and he'd stop and say, "ohh mom aligators, roaaaarrrr!" Such a character!

 Towards the end he ended up on Trents shoulders, only because he started to slow down and it was nap time, but this boy loves the outdoors as much as my other kids!

 Grandpa brought his raft and the kids took turns going out on the lake with an adult.  They loved it! Ruby's life vest was a little too big!

 Hudson got a ride too!

 THis girl and her love of animals! she is allergic but boy does she love them. She took over control of her Aunt and Uncles dog and did a great job.  Everyone kept saying, oh time to get a dog. But just not ready for that yet, if ever!

 Uncle Kevin was so nice to take our his Son Dax and Finn they both were a bit nervous but once their ride was over they didn't want to get out. 

I love that we live so close to family. Other than my sister and her family and Trents sister and her family, everyone lives here in Utah and when we get together we have the best time.  My kids love their cousins and its times like these that make me feel so blessed and happy. We can't wait to go back to Mirror Lake someday.
