Christmas

Christmas Eve and Christmas this year were fun for everyone but me.
The night before Christmas Eve I got a lovely stomach flu and was in bed most of the holiday.
But thanks to Trent, my parents and his parents, the kids had a fabulous time!
However, Trent was so busy with three kids that he didn't take a single picture, its ok, I totally understand!
Christmas Eve morning they spent the day with Trents family.
They had breakfast and opened presents!
Christmas Eve night was supposed to be a progressive dinner with my family. But due to me being sick, those plans changed.
It was a small group this year with me being sick at home, Sammy and her family moving to Colorado, and Jeff being on his mission.
So it was only my sister Amy and her family, and Trent and my kids, with my parents.
They had a yummy dinner at my parents home and then my dad, papa, read the Christmas story while the kids reenacted.

Amy took some beautiful pictures. We didn't have a small baby this year so a doll was used.
Don't they look so beautiful and perfect?

 Merry Christmas!
 Hudson-Shepherd, Bingham-Joseph, Ruby-Mary, doll-Jesus, Paisley-Angel, Boen-Wiseman.
I guess Finn wasn't the happiest dude, probably due to the fact that I was not there and he hadn't had a nap. So he did not participate.
Christmas morning I was feeling better but really weak and still blah, so I only took 3 pictures.
So sad!
Thanks to Santa, my kids were able to have a fabulous Christmas.
Here is Ruby with her new baby doll. I got this baby cradle at a local consignment store, and fixed it up and made the bedding for her new American doll baby.
She was so happy!
And of course her own minky blanket.
My kids begged and begged for a Minky Couture blanket and since my Aunt owns it, it was a lot easier for me to just trade her than to make one.
Hudson was also excited about his own Minky blanket.
Seriously every time I asked him what he wanted for Christmas he'd say, a blue camo minky blanket.
He also asked for lots of other things, many being a lot of money.
I was really struggling with what to get him I knew how bad he wanted a DS, but I had a hard time wanting to get him one because we have a wii and a ipad so why does he need another gaming devise?
I was just not excited about his Christmas at all and wanted to make him happy, isn't that what its all about?
So seriously, a few days before Christmas my mom found the spy car he was asking for  at costco, the last one, and for $30 less than it was on amazon.
I was so happy and so was he.
It made my day to see him so happy!

Finn was so fun to watch this year.
He loved all the treats he got in his stocking as you can see.
And he loved his car track.
He plays with is everyday and while playing says, "WEEEE!"
I was so happy I found the lightening McQueen for it.

It was a wonderful Christmas and we feel so blessed!
I was so looking forward to going to church on Christmas, always makes it so much  more special, but had to miss it.
I did however get to talk with my lil bro who is in Ghana on a mission and will be home now in less than a month.
I am just so proud of him and so excited to finally have him home.
29 days can't come soon enough!!!!

2011 was a really rough year with this stupid economy and being self employed.
We hope, pray, and look forward to a new job and better things for our family in the new year.
Its going to happen!!!!!
It has to!!!!!
I am however so grateful for a wonderful hardworking husband, 3 healthy beautiful kids, a roof over my head, and wonderful family and friends around us.
We are truly blessed!
Love you all!
Hope the New Year brings you all the happiness and dreams you hope for!
