Ruby Noel is 5!

My sweet baby girl turned 5 on Dec. 21st.
(yes the day after our Anniversary, see why December is crazy around these parts?)
So far she LOVES having her birthday so close to Christmas, but I'm sure that will change.
We decided to not have a big birthday party this year and she was so sad!
Her birthday parties have always been last minute, low key parties, I always feel so bad inviting people to a birthday party a few days before Christmas, I mean don't they have enough presents to buy?

Its been a tradition since I was little to open presents from the family first thing in the morning.
That way they can play with their stuff all day.
So here she is first thing in the morning.
I totally forgot to get more birthday wrapping paper, good thing she doesn't care.
She loved her new Cheetah rain boots.
This girl loves any and all things with animal print.
She is so funny!
She loves to dress up, wear girly things, dresses, pink.
But she also has a tomboy side.
She loves to wear sweats and Levi's, anything comfy.
So I never know what she is going to pick out and can't tell her what to wear anymore.
She is pretty much in charge when it comes to clothing.
Not that I let her do what she wants, but I do have to pick my battles with this one.
She is the sweetest thing but has a major sassy, bossy, side.
Having a girl in our family is so fun!

Trent and I decided to get her a leapster for her birthday.
I know its a big present to give right before Christmas, but Hudson wanted a DS for Christmas but wasn't getting one, so we thought he'd be sad if she got a game system for Christmas and he didn't.
So we gave it to her for her birthday and it ended up being a great thing.
She loves it!
One nice thing is that its fun but learning at the same time.
We would've loved to have given her the Leappad, but its was way pricey and no where to be found.
Grammy gave her a Lalaloopsy and she was so excited!
Its quite fitting since I call her Ruby Lala.
She is always in "Ruby Lala land" I say.
That night our family went to the Pizza Factory, her favorite (yuck, the bread sticks are good though).
My parents and Amy and Brody and their family came.
She loved the unicorn cake my mom made.

 Beautiful birthday girl!
She was so happy!

After dinner, cake, presents, and a few games at the arcades we all ventured out to the lights in Ogden.
It was FREEZING!!!!
Seriously!
We only lasted about 15 min and then had to leave.
 The kids loved it however!
Ah typical "Maw" picture. Someone always has their eyes closed!
They get that from their dad and Grandma Maw.

It is so fun to see 3 kids having fun and smiling together!
Sometimes I forget I have three, cute, happy, healthy kids!
I'm so blessed!!!
They love each other so much!

I caught Finn the next day in the kitchen eating cake!
He pushed the stool over by himself and started eating!
He ate a lot too!
I could hear him from the other room saying, "mmmm!"
