Snow Basin

Labor Day is always set aside to go four wheeling on Trent's families property up at Hardware Ranch at their cabin. But since we had just gone four Wheeling a few weeks earlier we decided to do something different. So Lane, Trent's dad, suggested we take the Gondola at Snow Basin and hike to the top.  It was a great suggestion and a fabulous day! We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather.
Trent carried Finn the last time we went hiking so I thought I'd give it a try.  Well lets just say, I didn't last too long.  That kid is heavy and the backpack we borrowed sucked! It had no padding and I don't think is supposed to carry a 25lb kid.  So Trent took over when we started hiking. Poor Finn doesn't like the carrier and i don't blame him it has no padding and he just doesn't fit but he was a trooper.
Our kids love hanging out with their cousins. On the Maw side there are over 14 I think and well, 3 of the Maw kids don't have kids and the other ones that do aren't done. crazy huh?!
This is Hudson and Ruby with cousin Kyra, Hyrum, and Weston, with Aunt Kenzie kissing the moose.

Our little family and cousin Hyrum rode in one Gondola and they loved it.  It was about a 10 min ride up and so fun! The view was amazing! I LOVE UTAH!!!!

Mr. Finn was so cranky the day we went. First off he didn't have a morning nap and we didn't get up there till 12:00, so he was so ready for a nap and teething so we were worried he'd cry the whole time. He was crying between teething, the bad carrier, and no nap he was just not a happy camper. But once we got in the gondola and started to move he was loving it! He kept pointing out the window and ohhing and ahhing at it all.  He loved it and was happy the rest of the day. And you can bet the second we got in the car he feel asleep!
 "Look Mama, trees!"

 Isn't the view amazing?
The kids were troopers on the hike. It was straight up most of the way and the ground was hard to walk up because the dirt was loose but we made it and it was so worth it!

Trenton and Finn finally made it! They had to stay back with Trent's dad and help him up.  He was such a trooper, he has a bad knee and going straight up on the loose ground was really hard but Lane made it!
Here's the huge Maw Crew at the top!

And here's out cute family at the top overlooking Ogden, amazing! I love that we live so close to some amazing mountains and amazing trails and we definitely use them.
The kids were being dorks and showing off their "gun" rocks!
I love that my kids love to explore and hike just as much as Trent and I do.  We had a blast and can't wait to go again!
