30th birthday!

 Saturday was my 30th birthday and it was one of the best birthdays by far! 

Lots of celebrating, eating, and spoiling going on.

On Friday, my Gram took my family and I out for a pre-birthday celebration at Javiers ( love that place!) They sang to me and put a big sombrero on my head the kids thought it was hilarious!

That same night my sisters decided I needed to have a last minute party to celebrate and have cake and ice cream. They invited a few of my friends and we had so much fun! Of course I only took one picture that night. They made me, "Better than your 20s sex, 30s sex cake!" They are soo funny! But man was it good! I have the best sisters ever!

Saturday morning, I opened my present from Trent and the kids, to my surprise it was.....

TICKETS TO U2!!!!! I was so excited, surprised and shocked. I thought for sure I wasn't going to get them, I thought they were sold out! I LOVE U2, this will be my 3rd time seeing them. I know what your thinking, what? Then why are you going again? Uh, hello! Its U2, its just gets better and better! And every time they come we keep thinking its the last time so we have to go! Plus Bono's never kissed me so maybe this is the year! Heck I'd settle for a hug! Its at the U of U stadium, it will be my first time seeing them outside and I can't wait!!!! Plus The Fray is opening, so great! They usually have weird people open for them. The last time we went it was Kanye West, funny huh?! It was actually pretty good, just different!

Then my my sisters, mom, Ruby, and Grammy and I ate at Moores for breakfast. It was so yummy and I was spoiled yet again! My mom got me zebra sanuks, I've been wanting them forever, a new watch, Our Best Bites cookbook(I cook from their website almost daily so I was soo excited to get the book!), a scarf and shirt. Dang, spoiled! Money from my Grammy, a darling frame from Sammy and a metal display cookbook holder from Amy!

After breakfast we all headed to the mall to shop till we dropped! Or at least I did. I had birthday money burning a hole in my pocket.

I got a new dress, belt, shirt, and bra! Nothing like spending your birthday money on a new bra, but hey I feel like a new women. I lost all my baby weight and needed one bad!

That night, Trent took me to dinner and a movie. I could not decide for the life of me where to eat. We were going to head to SLC but we had movie $ for up here, so we just went to Goodwood, which I actually love, we just eat there all the time. I got the BBQ chicken and man it was huge and so good, like fall of the bone good! And of course you can't go to Goodwood without getting the sweet potatoes. We then went to see Source Code, it was really good.

It was a great birthday!

Before I turned 30 I made a goal to lose all my baby weight and I did it!!! I am at my pre-baby weight!!! 

I wanted to hit it before I turned 30 and I did 2 months ago! I am excited and had to share because I have NEVER lost my baby weight before my baby was 1. Heck I had 8 lbs to go when I got pregnant with Ruby and needed to lose 10 on top of that that I had gained before I even got pregnant with Hudson, ahhh weight sucks!!!

It took a lot of hard work but I feel great! I used myfitnesspal.com to help. Its an online calorie counting system. Its kind of like a facebook for weight loss and exercise, oh and its free! You log in daily and put in what you eat throughout the day and it calculates it for you. You try to stay in your calories they have given you. And then if you exercise you put that in and you actually get to eat more. If you have family and friends on it as well, you can see how they are doing and it helps motivate you. Some of my friends are crazy at working out, I'm talking like training for marathons so it was a huge motivation for me to exercise because I'd see them burning over 1000 calories a day. So I started Insanity, its like P90X if you've heard of that but harder and faster! It is dang hard but I really like it! 

  I actually weigh less right now than I did my senior year. My body is different of course after having kids so I was probably about the same, but still crazy huh?! And I'm 10 lbs lighter than I was when I got married and I thought I was skinny when I got married. So I feel really great about myself. I have decided I would like to lose 5 more lbs so I'm working on that, but as of right now, I am happy with what I've been able to accomplish. I always say "skinny" moms and never thought I could or would be one. Not that I'm saying I'm skinny, but I am healthy and fit! I've grown 4 babies with this body so I do have a lot of toning to do, that baby belly is still there, but I am happy! I actually got a pair of size 8 skinny jeans a few months ago and now I can't wear them because they fall off of me, even right out of the dryer, now that's awesome! I guess its time to get a new size!

And here I am in my cute birthday outfit as my first day as a 30 year old. yup I survived! And if its anything like people say, its going to be a great decade!
