So far this January

January has been really fun and cold so far. Not much snow and horrible inversion and air as you all know. But thanks to a big storm this week I think we'll finally have our air back. We've had fun starting a new year, setting new goals as a family, and just enjoying 2010 so far. Here's a look at whats happen so far.....

I hit the 20 week mark in my pregnancy last week. I feel great (finally) and the belly has popped out. I've had some requests to show the bump and well, here it is. As much as I feel fat and will for sure not show my bare skin belly(lets just say after 4 kids, it looks like Freddy Kruger got to me) this is all your gonna get. I tried my best to take one of myself but I missed my head. I'll do better next time. I keep thinking, if I look like this at 20 weeks, yikes what am I gonna look like come May? But I feel great and have only gained 3 lbs, so I'm sure proud of myself.

Friday, Dashboard Confessional held a FREE concert on historical 25th street. We were all so excited because we love them and have wanted to go to one of their concerts forever but just haven't. We would've paid too. They were so good and we had a blast. However the 20 something degree weather was a bit chilly, but squished in with the crowd and bundled up with my hubby I didn't notice it too much. Then the concert got over and the crowd moved, then I was FREEING!!!! Chris sounded awesome and was even cuter in person.
We were super close and besides the few idiots around us that were drinking, smoking, and just being way to crazy, we had fun. There was a girl who was smoking right by us (Erik sprayed water on her), some kid kept spitting into the crowd (Trent yelled at him) and everyone was jumping and crowding(Amy hit someone too), it was so dang funny.

The boys: Jeff, Erik, Trenton

The girl's: Me (horrible pic, remember it was freezing), Amy and Sammy

The blurry pic of Trenton and I. We stopped for hot chocolate before and it was GREAT!

Hudson had Red Ribbon week last week. All week long, along with talking about drugs the kids got to dress up and do crazy things. They wore their shirts backwards one day, had hat day, and crazy hair day. Since Hudson's hair is so short it was a bit hard to do something crazy but he wanted a mo-hawk and I did the best I could. He said next year he wants me to spray it red and green. I guess I wasn't one of the cool moms who had color for their kids hair.
Oh well, I tried.
Hudson: he's just the smartest thing ever. He's loving kindergarten. Has made some great friends up here. He loves to play the wii still. He went through a phase for a few months where he wouldn't play it. I didn't know why, but then we got a few new games for Christmas and well, I realized he was just bored with what we had and now I have to set the timer again or he'd play all day. He loves to read and for a kindergartner is doing amazing at it. He is getting so good at spelling, writing, math and more. I love to see the progress he's made. He's my happy boy. He is so excited for his baby brother to come to. Every time he see's a baby somewhere, he just stares and smiles. He can't wait, I think he'll be a big help. He is also progressing amazing on his piano. He started taking Suzuki piano in September. He loves it, practicing is another story but he likes it when he masters a song. And he can't wait for soccer to start up again in the Spring.

Ruby: She had her 3 year check up and she is super smart (of course) and healthy. Her weight is 80% little chunk, but her height is 85% so the Dr has no concerns. The Dr said she's doing things that 4 year olds do at their 4 year appt, counting to 10, knowing colors, hard ones like black, grey and more. She finally got a big girl bed. We have a crib that converts to a toddler bed so she's been in that but a few weeks ago she got the real big girl bed and she's loving it. After Trent set it up, she kept telling us, "I just need to go see my new bed again."Then she'd go into her room and lay down. She loves it, sleeps all night and still takes naps a few days a week on it. I'll post pics soon, but I'm going to wait until we have her room all set up and ready. She's most likely moving to another room before the baby comes so we don't have cute bedding and her room set up yet. She loves to color, sing, dress up, play kitchen, and babies. What a little girl.

Trent: He's still working super hard on his business. Last year was a hard one with the economy but he's seeing it pick up again this year and just continue to see it grow. He also teaches for Stephens Henenger College a few days a week and is really loving that. He is signed up to run a relay this Spring in the Ogden Marathon and he's busy being the ward clerk.

April: I'm just being a busy mom. Having fun with my kids, driving them from here to there, watching them learn and grow. I'm loving my new Wii fit, great for this pregnancy, still reading (currently on the 3rd Twilight book. And no I have not read it yet. I read Twilight way before it became huge, but never read the others. I am loving it. Can't put it down.) Working on a few projects around the house, sewing and creating, and preparing for our baby boy and trying to pin Trent down to a name but struggling on that one.

It sounds like things are going really well for you guys. That's wonderful! Good Luck on the name game...boy names are hard! Girls keep taking all the boy names so it seems like everything you choose is now a girls name (Devin, Payton, Hunter, James, Alex, Taylor, Ryan, Andy, Danny....those are just a few that I know). My friend Amanda named her two little boys Devin and Payton and EVERYONE thinks they're girl names. She's so sad about it :(
