Hawaii Part 2

Ok, so many of you know I am a HUGE Lost fan. Well, they film in Hawaii and i wanted to badly to go where they filmed or to see any of the cast/crew. So on our way to the Polynesian Center and Temple we stopped at Khaulua Ranch. All this was on the other side of the Island but it was gorgeous, just what I picture Hawaii being like.
It is where they film Lost, Jurasic Park, 50 first dates and many more shows. You can even take a tour, but not to many people wanted to, I was a bit mad but it was ok, I got to see the mountains and some of the grounds I could totally tell they filmed Lost there. Aren't the mountains amazing? So green.

Can't you just picture Jack and Sawyer running here? Or the Dinosaurs? Didn't see either though.

We then headed to the Polynesian Center. It was so fun, we spent the whole day there. We went around to all the different islands, learned how they are different, watched the canoe pagent, and ate. I was pretty sick that day. I got a cold right before we left and I was so worried it was the swine flu but luckily it wasn't. But the heat and humidity was horrible that day. Even the Islanders were complaining. I think the cold, being pregnant, and the heat got to me. I tried to have a good time and I still did but just wanted to go home. I did find a nice bench to take a little rest on though and I was fine.
That night we ate at the big Luau, the food was great and they preformed for us, we all got real lays too. Then we stayed and watched a big show they put on at night, it was outside and really good. Above is the pig they roasted for the luau.
This guy was riped. He was from the Island of Samoa. He was one of the fire dancers. He loved taking pictures with everyone. Clayton Trents little brother got picked to dance with him, so he was our buddy.

Eating dinner at the luau. Because I didn't feel too good I didn't take many pictures.

We were so sad that the Hawaiian Temple was closed. Of course the one time I go to Hawaii, and who knows when I'll ever get back, its closed. But we did go see it. It was so beautiful.
We walked into the visitor center to ask why it was closed and we say the only celebrity we saw on the trip, Mark Eubanks. Too funny, you know the old weather guy on channel 5 with the white coat. He is a missionary now at the Hawaii Temple. He said it will be closed for 1 1/2 years. He said they were gutting almost the whole temple, he told us the only thing they were keeping were the oxen and something else. He said it was one of the oldest temples and the salt water from the ocean has deteriorated it. But he said, being next to the Polynesian center they still get plenty of visitors.

OH, I love Mark Eubanks. He's my old man crush. That stinks you didn't get to go in the temple, that would have been so cool. All your pictures are so pretty, I hope I get to go there someday!
