Hawaii Part 3-Pearl Harbor and a crazy tree

Everywhere in Hawaii we kept seeing these crazy tree's. They were soooo cool and I know the kids would've loved climbing them, well, because all the boys were climbing them. As the vines reach the ground, they replant in the ground and harden almost like another trunk, they were crazy.

On Sunday we decided a good Sunday activity would be to go to Pearl Harbor. What an experience, it was so sad. You watch a movie before a boat takes you out to the Arizona. I cried the whole movie just thinking about all those young boys lives. When we arrived at the actual memorial I had no idea that you could actually see the boat under/above the water. The picture above is part of the boat, all rusted over. You can even still see the oil that is spilling out of the ship after all these years.

The whole family at Pearl Harbor.

Pulling away from the memorial. It was amazing how peaceful and spiritual it was there. So so sad but a neat experience, I'm glad we went.
