My little Ruby girl is growing up.
I've noticed in the last little while she is losing all her baby chub and getting so tall and skinny!
She is for the most part a happy, silly, fun little girl.
She does come with drama and boy can she cry at the drop of a hat but she is such a sweet thing. With a little bit of spice on the side. We always say she looks like my sister sammy but acts like my sister Amy.
Ruby got super sick about a week before Kindergarten started. She had a low fever and sore throat. I wondered if she had strep but because her throat wasn't white and she didn't have a high fever I just figured she had a virus. She slept alot and then after about two days seemed fine. Well then one day she seemed to very tired and swollen in her face. She had what I thought was so form or zits or pimples of some sort on her face but the minute my mom saw it she said, "chicken pox". I was a little taken back since she had the vaccine but there is a 3% chance you can get a very small dose of it. And well us Maw's like to be in that 3% chance of things I just thought ok. I called the Dr and described then to her, they were all over her knees, arms, and face. Which they thought was odd but said I could come in if I wanted to but there would be nothing they could do. And as long as they aren't scabbed over she can't go anywhere. So for over a week we were in house bound for a couple weeks, but luckily no one else got it. Except Trent and Hudson did get strep.
Well, then they seemed to be getting worse not better. She'd get new
sores almost every few days and they were getting worse and she seemed
to be getting sick again. So I decided I better take her in. And the Dr took one look at her and said, "Oh that Impetigo!" I said what? Its a strep or staph infection that once it gets into an open sore can spread and get infected. And since she probably ahd strep and has eczema thats probably how she got it. So she was put on a strong med and couldn't go to her first day of school.
But after a few days she finally felt better and looked better.
Poor girl, if I had only taken her in to the dr I would've known a long time ago.
And here's my little beauty all better and happy!
And so excited to go to school! Finally!!
