Baseball

Hudson has been busy trying out most sports.
(except football, his skinny body wouldn't hold up and well his mama wouldn't be able to watch him get hurt. His brother on the other hand is built to be the defensive line, not sure we'll let him though.)

I don't want to over book him, but thankfully he has just chosen one per season.
Soccer in the Fall and Spring, Basketball in the winter and baseball in the spring/summer. It overlaps with soccer for about 2 weeks.
Hudson begged to play baseball for a few years, but since Trent and I are not baseball people I wasn't sure how to go about doing it. So last year was his first year and he loved it, but he was a bit behind.
This year was machine pitch and he loved it and did great.

He has a really good hit and a arm for throwing.
He moved all over the field this year but seems to like catcher, short stop, and second base.

This year Hudson's team were the 8 year old Champions!!!
The play offs were so much fun to watch, 2 games back to back and then the championship game!
The boys were so excited to get trophies.
They were so dang cute hugging each other and throwing their mitts.
"We are the champions my friends!"
(I dare you to read that without singing the song in your head.)
They had some great coaches who worked really hard with the boys this year and spend so much time with them. I am so grateful to them. I hope they get on the same team next year!

Although fun, I'm glad its over for now.
3 days a week of baseball is brutal, I can only imagine how busy he will be if he plays ball in high school, every night!
