Every year for Memorial Day we go out to Breakfast with my family, this year we choose Warrens and it was Delish!
My lil bro brought his girlfriend Megan along, we love her and hope she becomes apart of our family soon!
We all headed over to visit the graves and first stop was our baby boy Harrison.
We love and miss him so much and love that our family and friends support us and show their love to him!
Our good friends Laura and Tyler brought Harry a firetruck for his
birthday last year and it made it cry to see it still sitting on his
headstone. Makes me feel like he really was here and he is my little
boy. Hard to believe I'd have a cute little, crazy, talkative 3 1/2 year
old running around in our family right now.
Its crazy how 3 1/2 years later I still love and miss that baby boy so much.
I wonder if he would've been our dark haired boy like Trent or if he'd look just like Hudson and Finn?
We then usually as long as the weather is good head down to my Aunt and Uncle's amazing house in Sandy. My Uncle just got 2 new horses and he was ever so excited to let the kids ride them.
At first my kids were scared, they've ridden horses before because Grandma Maw(Trents mom has a horse named Blackberry). Once they got warmed up none of them wanted to get off. Finn loved the horse and kept neighing over and over.
My lil Ruby was in HEAVEN!!!
If you know this girl you know her love for animals(she did not get that from me!).
The bad thing is that she is allergic to most animals pretty bad. So we told her she could pet and ride the horse if she hurried and washed her hands and didn't touch her face. Well, not a good idea because within minutes she broke out in hives all over he arms, and bad!!! And bad mom for letting her ride the horse in her swimming suit she should've been covered from head to toe.
We washed her off, loaded her up with Benedryl and she was ok.
I feel so bad she's so allergic to them like her dad but not too bad because I have a good excuse as to why we will NEVER have pets in this house.
Yup I'm that mean.
So she'll just have to continue to collect and love her stuffed animals and believe me, she does.
After horseback riding, swimming, and lunch, our little Maw family headed down to Orem to then finish the rest of the day with the Maw cousins. Trents sister lives down there and although only 1 1/2 hours away or so we rarely see them.
We went to the BYU Science Museum and Natural History Museum. It was a fun free adventure for the kids.
Finn was in heaven! He loved all the animals and wouldn't let me sit down for a second. He pulled my hand this way and that to show me all the animals!
After the museums, we took a tour of the new walkway and grounds on the BYU campus. Trents uncle was the architect in charge the grounds and he did an amazing job! It was so beautiful, all the plants and waterfalls. I love the picture above. Trents dad Lane just took hold of Finn's hand and made him walk with him. It was so dang cute! We always say that Griffin is Lane. I guess naming him, Griffin Lane Maw was the right name for him because he is sooo Trents dad!
We then headed to the park for a BBQ and relaxation. These are my darling old nieces and nephews, the front gal is Makenzie, Trents youngest sister. Love all these kids!
And well after a long day, starting off at 9:00am for breakfast in Ogden and ending the day in Orem at 10:00 my kids were raggamuffins! We didn't get home till 11:30 pm that night but we wouldn't have changed a thing. It made us so grateful to have such amazing family close by to have fun days like these!
We love long busy summer days and nights! Can't wait to have more!

Ha! I'm the same way with animals - not an animal lover at all! And Emmy is allergic to cats and dogs, so that's my excuse for never having them ;)
I am feeling bad for your little Ruby being allergic to animals. Sad. Sounds like you had a fun Memorial
Day. And I loved your Summer sign. Can't believe how busy you must be with all their activities. I looked at that and realized it will be me in a few years. Not sure if I can handle it!
this made me cry! first because i am sad we missed memorial day breakfast, everyone looks so cute and looks like so much fun, i missed going to harry's grave, so sweet and hope you guys had an alright day. i missed aunt lauri's and they have horses?! I would've been like ruby though, dying from allergies! poor girl, so cute though and that looks like so much fun with maw's, what a great holiday!
It looks like you had a great memorial day! Parker is just like Ruby. He LOVES animals, but he's allergic to cats and horses. It makes me sad for him. We aren't really into having pets, either - so I'm glad that works out. ;)
Oh I miss sweet Harry too and wish both our boys were here with us :) love ya! I'm never planning on animals and hate going to people's houses with animals unless they are VERY clean!!!! I have allergies but mOstly to horses like ruby!!
Ruby really is me! She loves animals and is allergic to them. I am going to still have them so she can take some meds and come here! It was a fun day!
What neat memories you made on that special day. Your family is so beautiful! Love the pict at blog top. Miss you guys. Bree is dying to see her girls in O-town. We are back in Utah (an hour south) and hope to come visit soon!
