Colorado Part 3 and easter

Hudson cracks me up with his pose, what the?
And lastly we have Easter. WOW I am way behind.  My sisters church is about 15 min away and at 9:00 and sacrament was first thing.  Well, we didn't make it! Which actually made me really sad, I don't love the whole, "easter bunny" stuff, but its fun with kids. So while my sisters family was away at church Trent and I had our own little church at home. We talked about the real Easter, the Resurrection, and watched a few church videos about it. It was actually really nice and spiritual and I think they got it!
After our lesson, the kids decorated Easter eggs, while I cooked!
I love Violet peaking behind Ruby in this photo!
VIolet looked so pretty in her Easter Dress! And well, Finn's obviously just woke up.

Finn loved coloring the eggs.
Sammy had never made homemade rolls, so I showed her how to make them and they turned out sooo good! My best ones yet! Trent kept saying, "why did you make so much? We are leaving tomorrow?" Well, good thing I did because we ate them all by that night.
After dinner we gathered the kids up and tried to take a group photo, but well you can see it didn't work.  Erik and Trent hid the eggs and then the kids were off. Griffin and Violet got it this year and had so much fun running around looking for the eggs. They would scream everytime they got one.
Ruby showing me her loot! I LOVE this picture of her. SO pretty!!!!
Griffin's loot. He loved his basket of eggs! he would yell, "dad, Egg!"

I tried to get Violet to show me her basket of eggs, but she was too busy eating the contents. she's a smart girl.
That night we headed up the canyon to The Red Rocks. I have always wanted to go to a concert there and hopefully someday I will. But exploring the grounds was just as fun. The kids loved running up and down the stairs. It was beautiful!

Violet had a lot of little "mama's" around all week as you can see.

And to the Easter night we drove by the Denver Temple which just so happens to be about 10 minutes away from my sister. it was so pretty and I had no idea it was so close to her, so lucky!
We had an amazing time and were so sad to leave! We don't know when we'll be back again, the 10 hour drive was a dooby but so worth it.
The baby girl is due within the next week or two and I'm so sad I'm going to miss it but i hope to visit while she's still a newbie. And then hopefully she'll visit soon.
Its hard to have family move away. I've been lucky to have my mom and sisters so close so when she moved it was hard. You never know where life takes you though, maybe we'll be neighbors soon?!
