Valentines Day

I love traditions. And on Valentines Day we have a few.
The kids and Trent and I all have little mail boxes that I decorated that we fill with notes and candy. I always look forward to mine because Trent fills mine with Scotchmallows from See's candy! They are amazing!!!! Its a marshmallow with a butterscotch caramel covered in dark chocolate.
I only get them once a year which is probably good and so far the last few years Trent always remembers.

We also have a tradition at our home to have Valentines Day Dinner as a family.
For one, its usually on a school night, so Trent teaches at the college, and its crazy busy at the restaurants.
We have a family dinner and then Trent and I go out later to celebrate our LOVE!
The kids always look forward to our traditional heart shaped pizza, salad, bubbly, and a yummy dessert.
Dessert this year was a yummy BTS with Strawberries Trifle.
 Whats BTS you ask?
Better than ... cake.
So yummy! And I felt appropriate for the occasion, haha!

Recipe for BTS Trifle:
1 chocolate cake mix(any that you like)
1 large box chocolate pudding
1 large tub cool whip
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 bag of Heath Bar crumbles (or other candy bar you like crushed up)

bake cake according to the box
while baking, make your pudding according to the box and refrigerate
take cool whip out of freezer to thaw a bit.

Once cake is made, cut/rip into big pieces and put a layer on the bottom of your bowl. Top sweetened condensed milk, pudding, cool whip, and candy bar. Then continue to layer until you reach the top. Top off with Cool whip, the rest of the candy bar. I topped it all off with sliced strawberries!
DELISH!!!

I love my lovies so much!!!
