Our cute little Elf, Dobby arrives on December 1st every year and this year he brought us breastfast from the North Pole.
The kids were so excited to see him, they had been anticipating his arrival for a weeks. Even Finn was excited when he saw him. He kept saying, "Dobby" over and over.
He brought the kids, Hot chocolate (it was getting all warm in the cocoa motion when they woke up), snow covered donuts, little oranges, and a chocolate marshmellow santa for each of the kids.
I had plans to get cute paper Christmas plates, a little ornament for all the kids, and have him write them all a note, but well, I forgot. Good ideas for next year though.
Finn dug into the donuts before we had even given him a plate. I think that kid ate 5 of them. He was covered in powder and was in heaven! I don't even think he chewed! Nothing like sugar first thing in the morning.
Notice the mess by Finn, orange peeals, banana and powder everywhere!
I had to wake Ruby up so we could all eat together before Hudson left for school, gotta love the bedhead!
The kids LOVE Dobby and so far I have to say have been really good. Lets hope it continues. They love looking for him every morning. The other day he brought the kids our Christmas Tree while they were sleeping. They were so shocked and confused as to how Dobby got the tree here all by himself. And the other morning Dobby was ridding one of my reindeer decorations, they thought it was so funny!
And to keep our Christmas centered around Christ, we have a little advent calendar that our Relief Society gave us that has a scripture, song, and quote to read everyday. Its been really nice to do(on the days we remember, oops!) and its been nice to remind the kids what its really all about. Not only is Dobby and Santa watching but Heavenly Father and Jesus are as well.
