Hike to Waterfall Canyon

Our family LOVES to hike! Its what Ruby and Hudson want to do almost every weekend in the summer.  And its a good thing we are literally less than a few block from some great hikes! I love where we live. 
So a couple weeks ago we decided we needed to hike waterfall canyon one last time before it got too cold.  We packed some snacks and dressed warm and headed out early on Saturday morning. The weather was perfect on the hike.  We usually do Waterfall in the middle of summer and the first mile of the hike is in the sun so you are dying! So it was perfect this time. 

 Finn was so cute and loved riding in the backpack even though it sucks! He is way too big for it and there is absolutely no padding at all for him or the person carrying him.  He kept standing up in it and trying to look at Trent it was so cute!

 The kids had to stop and explore at every turn.  I remember doing the same thing on this hike as a kid. We used to do it every summer.

 The fall colors were beautiful!

 Finn was so excited when we finally got to the top. We got him out of the carrier and let him roam around. He was in heaven. Rocks and dirt whats not to like.

 Hudson and ruby were brave and went over by the waterfall, it was FREEZING at the top, so I can only imagine how cold it was by the water.  YIKES!

 Its late in the year so the waterfall wasn't very big, but the kids still loved it!

 What a cute family I have!

Can you tell we were all freezing at this point? We seriously were! Our hands were like ice! It didn't last long though. Once we got back down to the "sunny" part of the hike we all took our jackets off, it felt so good! We're sad hiking season is over and can't wait to explore more next year.
