Bear Lake-Bloomington Lake Day

The second day we were there, the day was super cloudy and overcast, raining on and off all day so we decided to forgo the beach and go exploring. And boy was it a good idea. It was a long drive on a dirt road through the forest but it was beautiful! We headed up to Bloomington Lake and it was amazing! Gorgeous views a little hike through the forest and then a surprise at the end, two beautiful lakes right in the forest. I recommend it to all!
The cute matching cousins ready to go hiking!
I was a little worried about how Finn would do. He was ready for a nap and it was a bit cold, so we bundled him up in the carrier with his baby legs(made by me, so easy and so fun!), a beanie, and of course his binky blanket and he did great! He was awake on the way up, laughing, squealing, and looking around. He was amazed!
Mister Chub Chub was super heavy in the carrier so it made for a great workout.
Ruby loved having daddy with her all day everyday.
She had so much fun picking all different colors of wild flowers, which Uncle Erik kept saying was illegal. She kept picking flowers, giving them to everyone and putting them in her hair. Typical girl. But she can be just as messy and dirty as the boys. She loved throwing rocks and sticks into the lake with the boys.

One of many family pictures taken in front of the lake. This one was take in front of the 2nd lake. Isn't it amazing! There were people over on those cliffs diving in. Super brave because it was 60 degrees that day so I can only imagine what the water was.
Another family picture taken in front of the 1st Lake.

Such a cute tiger bum!
Finn started to get hungry and tired while we were there, but I left his bottle in the car, so a little snuggle with his fluffy and mama was all he needed.

He is a mama's boy!
We turned him around in the carrier and he slept the whole way back! I have to say, it was heaven!
Also, I have never been able to use my binky blankets untill FInn and boy did it come in handy, like for reals! I put the ribbon snap through the carrier and it was with him the whole time, didn't have to worry about it falling and he could snuggle it all he wanted. I am a genious, ok totally kidding.

A cute pic of Sammy with Violet and Me with Finn. Can't wait till Amy's baby is here to play.
As good as Finn was in the carrier he was so happy to stretch and kick in the car.
The rest of the trip was spent time swimming in the pool and hot tub, watching movies, playing and relaxing on the field at the condo, laughing, and well, eating!
We had a great time and I can't wait to go back. I am so grateful for a wonderful family and a beautiful place to live. Seriously, it was so beautiful and so fun. I am so blessed! And I am glad I get to share and take my kids on these amazing experiences. Some of my favorite times as a child were taking fun trips with my family and cousins.
