A few weeks ago we took the kids out and set off for our perfect Christmas tree. The kids had so much fun picking one out.
See their excitement? They were celebrating that we bought the tree behind them. They were dancing and singing. The tree guy kept laughing at how funny they were.
This is our sitting room off of the dinning room and kitchen. It was the perfect place to put the tree. However the green and red doesn't got too well with my orangy/brown wall. We painted the top half a tan color, but still can't decide if we like the orange or not. I promise it looks better during the "everyday" look in our house but man does it clash with the Christmas look. One of the main reason's we haven't painted the bottom half is because the curtains match perfect and they were custom made for the house and here when we moved in. Now, although they are not my style, they are really nice and expensive. So they stay for now.And do you see the Coca-cola box on my mantel, with the "Noel" sign on top? Well, thats our advent box. Its been a tradition in my family since I was little. Its perfect because there are exactly 24 spaces to place presents. So everyday the kids take turns opening something small. I am so glad I finally found a box of my own. I think the person on Ebay selling it didn't realize that Coca-Cola anything is a collectors item, I got it for $10. Usually they are in the $50's for an authentic wood one, which mine is, I scored.
And here she is. Isn't she beautiful? haha. I know many of you are thinking, man thats a skinny tree, but thats just how I like them. Tall and skinny, my very on "Charlie Brown Christmas Tree." I noticed the tree looks a bit crocked, gonna have to fix that. And this year instead of ribbon I used Red Tulle. Turned out so cute. I also realized I have NO Christmas ornaments. I didn't buy any this year or last year. One day I'll have one of those amazing tree's. One day.
Oh and tomorrow, we are hoping to find out what our wee lil' babe is, but we may not. I'm thinking girl but, either way we'll be happy. Wish us luck.

Your tree looks beautiful! We've never had a real tree, so that is kind of sad. Your other decorations are pretty too, despite the orange. :) The fireplace looks so cozy with the stockings and everything! I hope you guys have a fun Christmas!!
