OCD

Trent and I have come to the conclusion that Ruby has OCD. I have a few photos to back it up. I find her all the time putting things in order of color, size, shape. She is always lining things up. She may get it from me. I tend to be quite anal about things. I love to organize, although I'm not always. My closet is in order of colors, long sleeve, short sleeve, etc. I could go on and on but you might think I'm crazy if I do so I'll stop.

We finally took the front of Ruby's crib off. I know you are asking yourself why it took us so long, but when your almost 3 year old still takes naps, you don't do anything to change that. Well, we knew with a baby coming we'd have to transition her soon, so I decided it was time since she is getting a real big girl bed for her b-day. She loves it. However, the last few days, there have been no naps. She does stay in her bed for about an hour and then starts yelling, "I'm ready to get out." At least I got an hour break right? The funny thing is she goes straight to sleep at night, doesn't make a peep. And in the morning instead of getting out herself, she'll just talk/sing until we open the door. Then she'll say, I'm ready to get out. I wonder how long it will last? Anyways, onto the OCD. So today she was playing in her room and I walked in to see her placing all her dolls, ponies, stuffed animals, etc on her bed. Too cute. She said they were sleeping.

Ruby loves lego's, she will build a few things but she mostly puts them in piles of their colors. I found this in her room the other day. Little smarty pants.

Then yesterday she was coloring in the computer room and I walked in to find her putting her crayons in order or colors and sizes. This is her in the process.

And here is the proof. She said she made a rainbow. She put them in order of pens, markers, colored penciles, crayons, sizes, and colors. See what I mean? OCD.

She is such a good girl. Oh yes we have our "Princess" moments, but she is so good. She is so content to play by herself. she loves to feed her babies, cook food, play games, and color. She could color for hours on end. I need to take a few pictures of the what she has colored/drawn. For being only 2, ok almost 3, she is soo good. She stays in the lines so well. She definetly takes after her momma. I won a coloring contest when I was 3 or 4, I won a cabbage patch doll. And well, i already confessed my OCD. We were meant to be. I love this little girly and it makes me so sad that she will be 3 next month.
