Bear Lake
Oh where do I begin on talking about this trip. Lets just say, it didn't go so well for us. Every year we go with Trent's family camping at Bear Lake. On the way up we took the Monte Cristo way, what a gorgeous drive, although you are in the middle of no where. On the way up Hudson started burning up and complaining of a stomach ache. Then I had some pregnancy issues on the way, luckily everything is ok though. We got up there about 8 and Hudson wanted to go to bed, he obviously didn't feel good. So we set up the tent and beds and put him to bed. Well then in the middle of the night I heard him throwing up. Poor kid, we cleaned him up and the sleeping bag and he went right back to sleep. Then a few hours later Ruby woke up screaming. We assume she was cold or had a bad dream, but we couldn't get her to stop screaming. Which is horrible when you are camping and everyone can hear everything. We had probably already woke everyone up when Hudson threw up and now this. So we finally got her to sleep. We debated whether or not to leave first thing in the morning but everyone said to stay and Hudson seemed ok, so we did. We went to the beach the rest of the day and on and off Hudson would cry and complain of a tummy ache. Luckily the fever had broke. We had a good time on the beach, I was a bit nauseous and was advised by my Dr not to Jet Ski so I just relaxed on the beach but the kids had a good time. Then we went back to our spot and ate dinner and Hudson started to get worse again. And then Ruby fell on the rock road and cracked her head open. Not bad but bad enough to add to the drama, so we decided it was finally time to go home. So we packed up and left. The kids slept the whole way home and the whole night. Everyone is healthy and fine now. Too bad we didn't go this weekend. Oh well. Oh and because of the craziness I forgot to take pictures these are the only ones I got.
Ruby loved the beach and the water. She didn't care that it was cold. Although because she didn't sleep all night she started to throw the craziest tantrum. She would run back and fourth from the water to the sand screaming and kicking. I'm sure Trent's family thought we were nuts. The surprising thing was that we took her swimsuit off got her a clean diaper and I wrapped her in a towel and she fell right to sleep. We were shocked she never falls asleep anywhere but her bed.

Hudson in between not feeling well loved helping build the Mountain Ranges with Uncle Clayton and riding the Jet Ski's with Grandpa.
Trent and pretty much everyone else spent almost the whole afternoon building a shipwreck sand thing. It was pretty awesome.

oh I am so sorry I know how you feel we had to leave early to because Lundyn, and Forde woud not sleep up there... You can never count on things going exactly how you plan when you have kids...
IAm sory that the kids were not themselves. it is so hard when they are out of there element. I fell had for Huddys and his puke fest.
If it makes you feel any better we didn't think you were nuts at all. It seemed like Ruby had a great time in the sand and water and I know Huddy wasn't doing well but I'm glad he's ok now. It was fun!!

I hate to say it, but I think our vacation to Cali was not as eventful as yours. Sounds like it turned out okay in the end. I'm glad that you found my blog. Add it to your list and we can keep in touch better. And , yes, we need to get together for dinner. :)
