The New Me

So awhile back, I think in March sometime I blogged about how I wanted to lose 10-15 lbs and if I did I would cut my hair as one of my incentives. Well, I've lost about 14-15 lbs, I am loving fitting into all my old/new clothes. I knew that I said I would cut my hair, but I just didn't quite know how. Well, Saturday I did it. I can't believe I did. It was liberating. I love it. Its so new and fresh. I've never had short hair, its crazy.
Saturday right before I went to get it cut.
Back view of my hair. Am I crazy to actually cut it?
I guess so, because here I am.
The new me.
I don't love this picture, but I think you get the idea. I chopped it, all 11" of it. I had enough to donate it to locks of love.

Just a cute picture of Trent and me in front of my parents famous fireplace wall. (Famous because its where all shots are taken, dance pictures, etc.) We hadn't taken a picture of the two of us in a long time. Well, we have, but I always looked gross or fat.

The new me. I think I would still like to lose 8 more lbs. I love how I feel and I think I look good although I think I would look great a little smaller. Really, I just want to get toned and lose the baby bump, but I heard some of that never goes away. We'll see. I am still chuggin' along on the "diet." Although, honestly its become a way I think I will eat forever. I still have no sugar, white processed breads, potatoes, or pasta. I really don't miss it. The pasta I do, I have only had pasta once in 5 weeks since I've started this and it was wheat pasta. I like how I feel and look. I did have a little slice of cake tonight for my birthday party at my parents. It was the first sugar I had had in 5 weeks. It was so good, but once I was finished I was sick. But hey, it was a party. I deserve it every once in awhile. Anyways, I am not meaning to brag about, "me" but I am really proud of myself, I haven't weighed this or looked this good since before I had kids.

I will take a better pic of the hair front and back soon so you can see. I love it. Thanks Delena, she's my cute friend in my ward who did it. Awesome job. Now tomorrow will be the test to see if I can do it myself. Wish me luck.

You look HOT! I remember when I chopped my hair almost 2 years ago. It took forever to grow out. I've decided I just have to have it long enough to pull back because this Texas weather is so dang humid. But I so wish that I could have short hair. Maybe if we ever move back to TX then I'll keep it short. You look darling.

p.s. have you tried spaghetti squash? I have been eating it. IT's just like spaghetti. love it.

You have a ton a self control and you must be mentally tough to not eat sugar, carbs, etc. I am really proud of you. Love your new look, too. You should feel really proud of yourself. The funny thing about working out is it is hard to get started, but once you see some results it motivates you more. Keep up the hard work, you look awesome!

You know what I was thinking? you have never ever had short hair. I think you've cut it to your shoulders but never this short. You really look good I can't believe how every time I see you you look better than before when I think you can't get any better. Plus when we got home the other night Brody told me that I should cut my hair like yours, wow huh!

You finally did it!! SOOOO cute!! It will be so nice for us to have short hair for the summer. I am looking forward to that. We'll have to share short hair tips, like the best way to straighten, curl, volumize etc... I am still figuring out how to do my hair short. It's a lot different than long. Love it!

P.S. I think the short hair is even more sliming for you! And just some FYI, I came across rice pasta. It actually tastes really good but without the gluten/ less carbs. It might be an option for a healthier pasta with your diet. Great job to both of you!

April you look amazing! I love your hair. I think it is great that you donated it to Locks of Love. Congratulations on the weight lose. That is such a great accomplishment. Your kids are so cute. I can't believe how much Ruby has changed.

Wow! You are sooo cute! You are an inspiration-- cutting your hair and cutting out sugar. Two things I'm too chicken to do. Keep it up. P.S. My mom has tons of yummy recipes that use rice flour--she can't have gluten.
