5 Wonderful Years

This is our engagement picture. Don't we look so cute and young? The original wasn't in black and white but I kind of like it.
We went to Seattle for our Ann in Nov. so we are just going to dinner a movie tonight. A nice break because we've been couped up in the house due to everyone being sick. Trent got the flu and then Ruby and Hudson both got their first ear infections, no fun. Now we are all better ready to celebrate.
We were married December 20, 2002, at 9:20 am in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. It was a perfect ceremony. My cousins grandpa sealed us and what an amazing sealing it was. We had so many family and friends there, it was perfect. It was quite cold that day so pictures weren't so fun outside though.
We had our reception at the Ivy Lane, and it was gorgeous, all decorated for Christmas, I loved it. We served hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls and my friend Maren played the harp and my sister played the piano as back ground music. It was a perfect night. The line of our reception was quite long and went over by almost 2 hours. It snowed that night too, which made it even more special. That night we went to the Alaskan Inn in our own private cabin, it was awesome. A funny story...Trent was filling the hot tub up with water that was in our cabin and decided to put some bubbles into it. Well he put a little too much and lets just say, we had some cleaning up to do. The tub overflowed with bubbles, they were everywhere and I mean everywhere, but it was pretty funny. We spent Christmas together and then went on our Honeymoon on Dec. 26th. He didn't tell me where we were going until Christmas night so I could pack. We went on to Jackson Hole and Yellowstone and had a blast snowmobiling and hanging out.
Doesn't he look so handsome and young? I love you honey. Thanks so much for 5 great years. I couldn't have asked for anything better. You are such a wonderful, kind, and sweet husband. You do so much for me and are so patient and kind, never a mean word out of you. In our 5 years we've never fought, really and I love it that way. You are also a great dad. I look forward to 5 more years and longer with you. I love you.

Congrats! Wow, 5 years and no fighting, that's awesome. Jake and I hardly ever fight, but I can't say that we never have! Good for you guys!
