First Day of Boot Camp

I had my first day of boot camp at 6:00 am. It was early, but wasn't that hard to get up. I have it for 7 weeks M-W-F. Oh boy am I in for it. I think I might be dead by the end of the week. I'm really excited because I know I will see progress, but I am the biggest and most out of shape in the whole class.
Today was just an assessment day. We had to run a mile, timed, I actually did well considering, I did it in 11 min. 10 sec. Then we had to see how many push-ups we could do, we had to do the wall squat, my thighs were burning. I think I lasted a minute 30. The final thing we had to be timed on was what is called the Plank. Its where you are in a push-up position except instead of on your hands your arms are flat at the forearm. You have to hold that position with back parallel to the ground. I was shaking, but wasn't the first one to stop. I lasted I think 1 min. 45 sec. Doesn't seem like long, but you try it.
We were also, weighed, measured (every last inch of our body), and did body fat percentage. I won't tell you all those stats other than I have a lot of work to do. I am excited and pumped but scared. I learned a about the few things we have to do. We have to push a school bus, yes, a school bus. We will flip huge tires, not the ones on a car, the big ones from one end of the building to the other, pass the medicine ball back and forth with the group, but we won't be standing we will be in a crunch position. OW. So wish me luck. I will give you stats on the way, oh, when I weighed in this morning, I had lost 4 lbs. Yeah, I have been trying, so hopefully now that I am getting my butt kicked it will come off fast. Yeah!

Wow, you are brave! Good for you! I need something like that to kick my butt into gear to lose weight! Good luck!

that sounds so fun! I hate the gym because I don't push myself veryhard, just do a little here and there, but this sounds cool cuz you will be pushed and wont be able to give up, and your doing cool stuff so you won't get bored.
I did a boot camp one morning with a friend at her gym. It was just over an hour, (she had been going forever and was a gymnast) so she was fine, but i was so sick after, i wanted to through up sooooo bad, and was shaking, I have never pushed myself so hard that i really got sick (you see it in football movies all the time).
So i hope you don't get sick, but that sounds way fun! Enjoy
