Help I'm stressed!!!!!!OK, so let me vent for just a few minutes. I HATE OUR HEALTH INSURANCE. Isn't the reason you pay for health insurance so that if anything happens they will help cover it? I guess not the kind we pay for. We have health insurance but it doesn't even help pay for anything. It only covers for major medical. And even then you have to fork out a butt-load before they even start to pay. I guess thats what happens in the self-employed world.
Let me back up a bit. I had Ruby in December and everything from the Dr's visits, to blood draws, to the US, to the delivery was not covered by our insurance. We had to pay it all. Luckily we had Aflac so it helped a little, not much though. Babies are expensive and so are epidurals, but I wasn't not going to have either. I wanted a baby and really wanted the epidural. Well, we've paid all those bills off. But then the whole crazy heart problems happened, so more bills happened as well. We thought, maybe they will pay for some of the stuff. Boy were we wrong. They gave us a few discounts, but that was it. The bills are horrible and everyday I get a new one. It seems like all the tests were for nothing because it turned out to be nothing, well at least nothing they could figure out. So today I am a little stressed trying to figure out all the bills. I guess I should've been a Dr. now I know why they are so rich, I see my medical bills. Hopefully I won't get anymore. Ya Right.
Oh look, there's the mailman, should I look in the mailbox?

Hey, I feel for you. It seems like we have had never ending medical bills since we got married and most of them were from when Dan worked in "corprate america" with "good insurance"
Dans had his apendix out right after we got married, that was like $2000 plus co-pays and perscriptions. Then Locke's birth was about over $3000 plus we got seperate bills from the anistisiologist, clinic, and hospital. What a joke.
We found out after, that it would have been cheaper if we didn't have insurance because the hospital cuts you a deal.
Check out www.esurance.com, they give you free quotes and have great prices.
I hear you on the health insurance. You can barely afford to even have it and then it doesn't cover much! Luckily we have Emmy on Medicaid but I don't even have any insurance right now. Jake does and Emmy does, so let's hope nothing happens to me!!! Anyways, I totally feel your pain, we're still paying off hospital stuff from when Emmy was born. Not fun!
