Christmas 2012

We had the most perfect Christmas this year.
We were so blessed to have so many people show us the true meaning of Christmas and Giving.
But the best present of all was, Trent got a job right before Christmas and started working at the first of the year.
We aren't moving out of the state or Country like we thought we would be, but actually are staying put right here in O-town, at least for now. It isn't the amazing job we were hoping for with the pay we were hoping for, for someone with his schooling and resume but its a job none the less and he works with a great friend of his, great people and he really likes it.  It has insurance and great potential.
Its with a company called, Red Apple and he is a business and finance manager for local charter schools.
He will still teach Spanish at Weber State University 2 nights a week and his business is still around. He is still in the process of trying to decide what to do with it.
Its been an adjustment having him gone, but its been good. I am so proud of him and all his hard work and love him. I can't wait to see what the future holds and to see where our family goes from here in the next couple years.

We had a wonderful Christmas full of family, friends, good health!
 We are so blessed!

My cute Christmas kids! They wore their clothes from the wedding which turned out perfect!
Hudson got an ok picture of Trent and I!
Christmas Eve was spent with my family, we had a great dinner, sung song while Trent accompanied us on the guitar and Ruby sang a few songs.
Then all the Speechly Grand kids tried to do the nativity, this year didn't work so well, lil stinkers, but they were still so dang cute. And I'm excited next year my lil guy gets to play baby Jesus.
My cute Christmas babies on Christmas morning in their Christmas pj's waiting to go open presents.
Of course Finn has his cars in his hands!
Hudson had been begging for years for a Nintendo DS but Trent and I just never wanted to get him one. He has a wii and plays that enough.  And plus they are expensive and I didn't want one more thing to buy $40 games for.  Well on Thanksgiving, one of those coupon blogs, blogged about some good deals going on and said there was a refurbished Nook directly from Barnes and Noble for sale for $50, normally $160 or more! I talked to Trent about it and we felt it was perfect for Hudson. He loves to read and this way he could read, play games, and watch shows/movies all on one device! Perfect! He was totally not expecting it and was shocked! We got a killer deal and it came directly from the manufacturer so it was guaranteed! SCORE!
And then Ruby had been begging for an Easy Bake oven and she was shocked as well!
I did some major bargain shopping this Christmas.
I found this almost brand new Train table on KSL for $25 back in September and had been saving it for Christmas!!! I love that is has storage on the side!
And the present Finn is opening up is a wooden train set that I actually bought after Christmas 2 years ago on clearance and have been saving till he was old enough. He was so excited and loves it!
Finn loved finding stuff in his stocking!
Which by the way I got these pottery barn stockings, brand new at downeast for $3 a piece! There just so happened to be one with Finn's name on it already!

The one thing I was dying to buy Finn for Christmas was this Woody doll. My friend has one and every time he goes over there its the first thing he grabs to play with.  He loves it and well as you can see he has his "Cowboy Woody" attire on. We got him a new hat and belt with holster because he wore the other one so much.
This is a dorky present of me, but so dang funny I had to document.
My brother in law Clayton had me for Christmas, he's 26 I think and single, lives alone and he is so dang funny. We were all wondering why he waited till the last minute to wrap his present.  He handed it to me and when I opened it I understood. I laughed so hard. He said it was a pregnancy survival kit! He got me a thing of ice cream, pickles, a larger than life Reese's, and the movie, "Look Whose Talking". So dang funny and creative!
