July Festivites

July in Utah is the best!
Between the 4th of July and also Pioneer Day, it is one full month of Red, White, and Blue, BBQs, Fireworks, and parties.
I was horrible at taking pictures but here are a few of our fun festivities.
I saw this star braid on pinterest and gave it a try on Ruby. It turned cute, but I definitely need more practice.
On the 4th of July every year we spend the day at my Aunt Lauri's house in Sandy.  The look forward to it all year. swimming, horseback ridding and food. Both my kids are little fish in the water and loved the diving board this year.
Ruby was so funny. Every time she would jump she would curl up in a ball. We kept telling her to jump straight but she'd always end up pulling her legs in and then bam! The water would slap her.  she still went again and again though.
Another tradition is the Weber State Fireworks, the Sunday before the 24th.  My mom and her friends lay out blankets days before so we have a good spot and we hang out all night waiting for it to get dark. This year my kids ran into their friends/neighbors from when we lived in Mt. Green.  We only lived there a short 6 months but they really bonded in that time. And had a blast hanging out.
 This picture cracks me UP!!!!
My niece Violet was still here and she was sitting in Papa's chair singing and rocking.  So is so dang funny!
Bingham and Ruby loved the fireworks.  Of course there was a lot of oooing and ahhhing.
This year the show was awesome!
My other neice Paisley sure does love Trent.  She has a thing for boys!
On the 24th I only took one picture, Finn eating a donut hole at the parade.  It wasn't the greatest parade, partially because it was pouring.  Later that day we had lunch at my parents house then went tubing down the Ogden River. The little kids sat on our laps and we just floated. It was so fun and soooo cold! I got a banged up a bit from trying not to hit the rocks, but it was so fun and we can't wait to do it again.
