Weekend Getaway

We've had a rough year with this lovely economy.  Being self employed can be great and can be hard, and this last year has been really hard.  Luckily he had his teaching jobs at WSU and Stevens Heneger to keep us afloat until he got a job.  But it also takes him away from us at night to teach. 

He still has the business but right now he has a new focus.

So when he finally got a new job this last month we had to celebrate!!!

We got his sister to come watch the kids for the weekend while we went to Salt Lake City. 

Not far, but far enough to feel like we were away!

We went to PF Changs (our first time), so good!

Saw the movie Chronicle (good at first, then weird!). 

Went shopping at the Gateway! Ahh Anthropologie...someday!

And stayed at the Little America.  We love that place.  

 I got brave and wore some red jeans. (thanks Amy!)

Not sure I'll wear them again, I'm not super skinny and I felt as though everyone was looking at me.

  I swear every where we went I was the only one is colored pants.  I thought they were in? hmmm

The next morning Trent went swimming while he let me sleep in. So nice!

Then we went downstairs to the famous Lil America Breakfast Buffet. AMAZING!

We had a good time trying everything and then walked it off at Ikea, my first time.  

 Nothing like a weekend getaway to rejuvenate the soul and relationship after a stressful year.
Can't wait to see where this new job and year takes us! I'm so proud of my husband and his hard work and sacrifices he makes for our family!
