My Big Boy

Griffin is getting so big right before my eyes!
Trent and I keep saying if he's our last we really just need to freeze time.
I really wish I could.
I do feel like I am cherishing every moment with him. There is not a second that goes by that I don't thank my Heavenly Father for this blessing in my life.
We were uncertain we would be able to have more after Harry, so to be blessed with this big ball of energy is truly a blessing!
Is he crazy? YES!
Is he naughty? YES!
(drawing on walls, toys, everything! dumping the DVD drawer and opening them 10xs daily, only taking 1 hour naps and some days boycotting them altogether.)
But he is also the sweetest thing ever!
I love him so much!
He is so dang funny!
And so dang CUTE!
Best of all, he is a mama's boy.
He will come up to me out of no where and yell, "MAMA!" with his hands in the air wanting a hug!
He is seriously the sweetest thing ever!
He loves to say hi, bye, thank you, and la lou (love you).

My Finney is 21 months and I have no idea how that happened.
He LOVES movies a little too much!
He will come to me, push or pull me and say, "show!" or "Cars!" or "Doggy Show!"
And usually I do.  His favorite spot is on our bed.
While watching a show on my bed he usually stands up to turn on the fan.
He loves to play the Ipad. We'll find him on the couch or in the corner somewhere playing "red ball" his favorite game.

And boy does this buddy know how to throw tantrums!
I swear they were worse than my girls.
The Dr at his 2 years appointment asked me if he was having tantrums and I just laughed.
She said its the 3rd child syndrome and his age.
They are getting better, but man he knows how to kick, scream, and throw himself on the floor pretty good.
This picture cracks me up.
Our bed is super high so he can't get on it himself.
So when he gets off, he can't get back on so he usually watches the show like this.  So cute!

My baby is no longer a baby, he is binky free!
I was actually really sad about it, but boy was it easy.
I kept thinking, oh he's my last baby (I think) so he'll probably have a binky forever.
A few weeks ago I noticed that everytime I tried to put the binky in his mouth he would shake his head no. And he just never seemed to be using it.
So one night I took it off his blanket and put him to bed.
He didn't make a peep.
And for over 2 weeks he never even asked for it.
Still took naps, went to bed without crying, and still loved his pacifier blanket even though there wasn't one on it.
I kept telling Trent, "that was so easy?
Hudson and Ruby were harder. I just want him to ask for it."
Not that I'd give it to him but it would show me that he was still a baby and still needed it.
Well, its a good thing I threw them away because about 2 weeks after I took it away he pulled me to his room and asked for his binky. He pointed to the basket on his dresser where I kept them, I took it down and showed him they were all gone.
He smiled and walked away.
That was it!
I was happy, he asked and he wasn't even sad.
Bye Bye Baby.
Hello big boy!
I just hope that transitioning to a big boy bed someday and potty training are just as easy.
One can hope right?
