9 years

Yesterday, 12/20 my wonderful, cute hubby and I celebrated our 9th wedding Anniversary!
No trip or fancy gifts this year but we did get last Saturday, the whole day, all to ourselves.  Lunch, Christmas Shopping, Sherlock Holmes, and Dinner. It was a great night away.

Here are a few tidbits out our courtship....

We met before his mission and it was love at first site for me, he said it was for him too but he had a mission to think about.
He came into Zuka Juice where I worked in high school.
His friend asked me for my phone number so one of them could call me.
When he called me to go on a date I had no idea what his name was or who he was, but for some reason I knew it was Trent and I was right.
The night he asked me out I was graduating and then going on my senior trip so I didn't go out with him for almost a month.
I didn't really know it was Trent who was asking me out, but I hoped it was.
He came into my work after my trip and asked me out. I was so excited that it was him!
After our first date I came home and told my parents I was going to marry him.
We went out for 3 months before his mission and he never once held my hand or kissed me and we were together almost everyday.
I was a chicken.
He said he didn't want to fall more in love with me if I wasn't going to be around when he got home (I later found out that was why)
I saw him off at the airport, wrote him and got to talk to him on mothers day and Christmas.
When he got home, he kissed me on the first date, finally!!!
We did take a break for one month right after he got home because when he got home I was somewhat dating someone and had to see where it would go.
The day after I told Trent I needed to figure out the other relationship that guy dumped me.
I waited a whole month to call Trent to tell him that relationship was over and I was so sorry!
He was so sweet and understood and forgave me and we were inseparable ever since.
We dated for a year before he asked me to marry him.
I was ready way before then but he wasn't.
He said he always knew he'd marry me it was just getting ready and well he was too in love with his friends to leave them for me, haha, its true!
He flat out told me he wanted to marry me but he didn't want to leave his friends. OUCH!
He asked me to marry him in August by writing me a song on his guitar and of course I said yes!
We were married 4 months later in the Salt Lake Temple, on a cold cold day in December and the rest of history!

9 years, 4 kids, 2 apartments, 3 houses, 7 cars, 5 wards, several couple Anniversary trips,
1 MBA, 2 businesses, losing our baby, and other crazy trials
but we are happier and closer than ever!
I can't wait to see whats to come in the next 9 years.
Hopefully this time next year we will be on a cruise or somewhere fabulous celebrating 10 years together!
