My Hudson is such a sweetheart! I seriously love this kid! He is the sweetest, nicest, cutest, funniest kid ever! He is turning into the best kid!
He is loving 2nd grade and has the best teacher! I found out she was the #1 requested teacher and he got her and I didn't request. He has the cutest friends and is well liked by all of them. His teacher told me at PTC that he is such a good friend and he always has a swarm of kids around him. Its funny when she told me he likes to talk and giggle, which I know but most adults don't, he is pretty shy/quiet around adults. He is so smart and loves to do school work, I sure hope that continues.
He is getting really good at soccer, like really good! I was worried there last year when he didn't seem interested or didn't really like it. But this year he did amazing! He is such a fast runner and loves soccer! He had an amazing coach, which totally helps, but he loves defense and he is really good at it.
And last week he started his first year of Basketball. He even scored a basket. He doesn't really get it yet but I'm sure with time that will happen too.
He is getting really good to the piano and still loves it, lets hope that continues as well. He the end of the summer recital a few months ago and did great!
I tried to get a good picture of him by the piano but well, he's a boy and doesn't like to "pose" so much!
Meet, "toothless". Thats what we call Hudson, I LOVE his toothless smile. He keeps losing teeth I think he's lost 7 or 8 but he's only had 2 grow back in. Its so dang funny! And he figured out the tooth fairy wasn't real. A few months ago he started acting scared when we talked about the tooth fairy. He kept asking how big it was, does it really come at night while he's asleep, will it wake him up, etc I felt so bad he was that concerned. So when he asked me, is there really a tooth fairy? I said, "What do you think?" He said, "NO?" I said, your right. I think the tooth fairy and easter bunny are pretty lame but I think its fun as kids to "believe". I explained that it was just a fun way to make losing teeth, which can be scary, fun for kids. So now when he loses one he just comes to me, hands me his tooth and wants a dollar. So funny!
Hudson loves to do tricks. He loves to climb trees, ride his bike and go over hills and bumps, and he loves the rocks on our yard, climbing them and jumping off them. I tried to get a good picture of his trick, but it didn't work. He was trying really hard to do a 360 but I think he just did a 180. Another thing i love about Hudson is he is such a good big brother. I was a bit sad that Hudson and Finn are so far apart in age as brothers, but so far its been fun! He loves to play with Finn. The other day he brought up a bunch of cars and was playing "traffic" with Finn. It was so cute to see them play together and for a long time.
He is also a good big brother to Ruby. They really don't fight at all. Ruby does get on his nerves a bit, but its only because she talks non-stop to Hudson while he's trying to play the wii or do homework and asks him question after question. And believe me, it bugs me too! haha, that girl can talk!
I love my Huddy boy! And its making me sad that he's getting old, he turns 8 in June! I know its a ways away but its scaring me! I remember clearly when I turned 8. But then in the process of thinking about how sad I was that he was getting old, I started thinking about how much I love this age! He is such a big help, still loves his mommy, and is so fun!
