Does anyone else have a love hate relation ship with Sandboxes? I sure do! I love them because they can entertain your kids for hours but on the other hand you can be cleaning the sand out of every crevice for hours!
We had this weird space under our deck stairs in our backyard that we just didn't know what to do with. We could've planted flowers there but it doesn't get sun, so we decided to fill it with sand and it has been the perfect spot.
Finn had his first sandbox experience last night with Hudson. I was gardening and Finn was by me on the grass but wouldn't stay put. He kept crawling into the garden and picking my flowers and eating the dirt. So I asked Hudson if he would play in the sandbox with him for a bit and come get me if he started to get out, cry, or eat it. Well an hour later this is how I found him.
Still in the sandbox, happy as can be. Was he dirty? Yes, but did he care? No. He had a blast and Hudson was such a great helper and said he had so much fun with him in the sandbox. The bathtub and his diaper were filled with sand and it took awhile to get him clean but I now have a perfect spot for him to play! Dirty little boys!

I know exactly what you mean. I love it because my kids would spend HOURS there as happy as can be, but it's such a mess to clean up! I usually only let them play in the sand if it's a bath day :)
that is so darling! I think Vi needs to come and play with them in the sandbox, she'd love it! That is so fun such, i miss them!
