3rd times the charm!

I am one of the biggest U2 fans! I love them! I love their music, the shows, the band members, everything! I've seen them 2 other times before and was sad that I wasn't going to go to most recent concert. They were supposed to come last year but for some reason we couldn't go. So when it got cancelled due to Bono needing surgery I was hoping when they rescheduled I'd be able to go and well, my hubby was so sweet and got us General Admission tickets, they were only $58 too! I was so excited. I knew we'd probably be clear in the back but hey we'd at least be there. Well, little did I know that the 3rd time was the charm! I was so close to Bono, The Edge, Adam, and Larry that I almost got to touch them. It was amazing and the weather couldn't have been more perfect!
I had always wanted to see a stadium show of U2 because well, they are amazing!
Getting ready for the show to start! We arrived about 2 1/2 hrs before the show to get a good spot and we got one! Only one person in front of us and the catwalk was right there!
My friend Kristen had been waiting since last year to see them! She is just as big of a fan!
We were so lucky to have The Fray open for them. U2 for some reason has such random bands preform for them. When my parents saw them in '98, Rage Against the Machine opened, crazy huh?! When I saw them No doubt opened one time and then Kanye West, weird huh?!  Trent and I LOVE The Fray and they were really good in concert! Trent performs one of their songs in his band, so it was fun to see them.
 The Fray's lead singer!
Finally after 4 hours of waiting U2 came out and put on a show!!!!! The movie screen was amazing! It opened like below and then went back to a screean!
The main stage was not too far ahead of us!
Here's my buddy Adam coming over the bridge right to us!
And well who could forget Bono! He was so close and so cute and just so awesome! Of course he took a few minutes to get on his political, save the world rant, but hey he's awesome and they are such great guys!

One thing I love about U2 is how bono and The Edge blend, their voices are so similiar they sound amazing together and sometimes you can't tell who is singing!
My favorite, The Edge, so cute and so good at the guitar!
So cool that Larry came out on his bongo drum and jammed with adam right in front of us!
And although I am quite scary in this picture and Trent cut off Kristens head, this is proof that I was really right there! Thats bono behind me!
And here we are after 7 1/2 hrs on our feet, jumping, screaming, and singing and having an amazing time! We were exhausted to say the least. No room to move except up and down for hours, our feet and backs were killing us and so were our ears but it was all worth it! One of the things on my bucket list is to meet Bono and The Edge or at least touch them (yes I'm a dork) so I think this is close enough!
This is "The Claw" or the set I was right up front there! Oh and just a cool tidbit, the stadium can hold 45,000 people and they told us there were well over 50,000!

I'm going next week in Oakland!! This will be my first concert ever and I"m so excited, but we bought tickets from some friends (they can't go) and it was WAY more than I thought I would ever spend on a concert. I hope it's worth it!

(Oh, and I would love to share my newfound wealth of knowledge on painting cabinets whenever you get around to doing yours. :))

I went to the Popmart concert in '98...it was amazing. I think everyone should see U2 in concert at least once in their life.
