Celebrating 93 years!

Every year we get together to celebrate my Grandpa Speechly's birthday. This year we all just stopped by to visit with him. He doesn't love going places lately so why not go to his house, where we all have such great memories. We'd go to my grandparents house every Sunday to visit with them and our cousins. We'd always get an ice cream cone from Grandma and play Mother May I and Red Light Green light in the front yard. Which has now been a tradition started at my parents house on Sundays. We usually end up in the front yard with the kids playing lawn games.
Last week was his 93 birthday. Isn't he the cutest ever! I love him so much. He is the sweetest Grandpa. My sisters asked him what he wanted for his birthday and he said, just more time, meaning more time here on earth. So sweet huh. I hope for the same thing. He has had some skin cancer removed from his face but other than that, for being 93 he is in pretty good shape. It was so fun to see him and all my cousins and hang out.

I love his picture! My dad with his sweet mother, my grandma, Ruby. Yes, thats the sweet lady my baby girl was named after. Isn't she a beauty?
(thanks to my aunt Suzan for most of these pictures)
The Speechly kids with their mom and dad:
Brent-my dad, Uncle Craig, Aunt Suzan, Aunt Sherri, and Uncle Richard,
then Grandpa Ruby and Grandpa Roy

The Boys: Cousin Shaun, Cousin Nate, my cute hubby, Cousin-in-law Nick, and bro-in-law Brody.
And of course had to stick in a picture of my sweet baby. He was just staring at my mom as she feed him.
The whole Speechly Clan. (missing a few cousins but pretty close.) I love my family!

Very cool that you live close enough to most of your family to do that!

Thanks for your comment on my blog. Reading your blog gives me hope!! Yes, I AM close - we are scheduled for a c-section on Thursday, so we're down to 5 days pending an amnio that shows his lungs are ready. I'm just ready for the stressful part to be done, but I imagine I'll have stress in other ways. :)

I'm so sad we missed it! I would have loved to go but I did a booth at a street fair today in Cedar and just had way to much to do to get ready. I'm glad you posted pics!
