1 Month Old

I can't believe Griffin is one month old today. Isn't he so cute and getting so big?

He is such a good baby. Seriously never cries and eats like crazy. I can't wait to see how much he weighs next month. I'm sure he's already 8lbs or more.

He's been smiling and talking to us for about a week or more. Every time I try to catch him smiling on camera I miss it. I caught the end of this smile so its a bit goofy, but a smile none the less. He loves to coo and talk to us and I love it too. The best noise ever!

We started a bedtime routine at about 2 weeks and its totally working. We first start off with a nice bath. He loves them, as you can see he feel asleep this day. I was laughing so hard. He loves the sponge bath as much as I do. Everyone should try them. Your baby lays on them right in the bath tub, the water can be right up to almost their face and then place a wash cloth over them and pour water on them and they are in heaven. They love it because they are comfy, you don't have to hold them up, and they are nice warm. Try it!

After his bathtime, its silence and darkness. I take him in his room to get him dressed, I use the night time Johnson and Johnson lotion and then feed him his bottle and lately I can put him down awake and he'll fall asleep on his own. He's been sleeping in his room since about 2 weeks because well this baby is noisy. He already has a nickname, "Goose". He squeeks like a goose, when he's eating and sleeping and he grunts. He is so noisy. The night I put him to sleep in his room we all slept better because I wasn't checking on him every second he made a noise. 

He loves his Sweet Ruby blanket right by his face when eating and drinking. Thats the key to getting your baby to like the blanket you want them to. Everytime you feed them or put them to sleep, place the blanket you want to be their, "lovey" right by their face and in no time they are hooked. Griffin already is, when I put it by him he knows its bedtime and snuggles right up. He sleeps from about 8:30pm-3:30am (only wish it was 11:00-6, in no time I'm sure it will be 8:30-6 but until then this works). He has a bottle at 3:30 and goes back to sleep again till between 6-7am. He is doing great. He's been sleeping that well since 2 weeks so I think the routine is working.

He had taken the longest nap one day it was going on over 3 hours, I went into make sure he was still alive and well, he was sound asleep. What a sweetie.

And so far he's not much of a binky lover but he will be if I have anything to do with it. He will sometimes takes the Nuk binky but lately he likes the ugly green thing as I call it.

I about died when Hudson was feeding Finn for me the other day. Ruby was sitting next to him and they were being so quiet. I went in and Ruby was kissing both her brothers I happened to catch her kissing Hudson on camera. So cute! They love each other.
