Ok here I am at 38 1/2 weeks, so ready to have this baby. I am feeling it!!! I am getting anxious, nervous, excited, everything you can imagine. I made it!!! I finally made it to the end of my pregnancy and now I just want to squish the little thing but well, he just doesn't want to come out. Really?!? I went to the Dr last week at 37 weeks pregnant and had made no progress so he stripped my membranes hoping that by this weeks appointment I would be ready to have him. I went in today with my hopes high, way to high, because he said if I had made progress we could schedule an induction date. And with everything that happened with Harry I just want this little guy here so I am all for it. Well, no date set because I was maybe a 1 and had not dropped at all. He said the little guy is in a crazy position, kind of sideways with his face forward so it tends to slow the progression process down. Dang it! So he swept my membranes again, OUCH!!! With hopes that I will go on my own in the next week but if not, one more appointment and hopefully I will have made progress and can have him soon. We are ready and waiting whenever he's ready.
Here's a picture Trent took of me today, Yeah the belly, huge huh. I swear the last 3 weeks I've just popped out like crazy.
We've been super busy around here getting ready for this baby to come. We had to get Ruby's new room ready downstairs before we could even start on the babies room.(pictures of her room to come).
Then as you can see below, we had pink walls in the new baby room, so Trent put up a chair rail with plans in the future to add some sort of bead board or board and batten later. Then we had to paint and set everything up. My mom was amazing. Coming over a few days a week to help paint and get things set up. We owe her big time.
Here's a sneak peak into Ruby's room. Didn't the dresser turn out amazing?!?!?! I love it! I took some before picture of the desk and dresser so when the room is all finished I will post about it. Can you see the cute owl on the dresser? My sister Sammy found him at Hobby Lobby on Clearance for $12, he's a candle holder but we thought he made the perfect bow/flower holder. And well her room is all about owls! I even ordered a cute owl vinyl sitting on a tree limb off etsy.
Here is a sneak peak at the baby room. Its finished for now. The quilt on the chair my mom made out of different minky and it is to die for!!! His Sweet Ruby blankets are made from all those different minkys in the quilt. So he can have a big one to snuggle and his little ones to snuggle on the go. I still need to decorate the walls which I am doing, I have a few ideas, just takes time.
I am going to put a few circles in the colors of his bedding above his bed on the wall in vinyl and then have either his name(still no idea what that is) or his initial in a circle. Like this:
Here's a look at his bed. So cute!!!! Can you see that goofy or scary looking dog in the crib? Ruby and I were at Gymboree one day and she wanted to get it for him sooo bad. She kept begging and begging saying it was for baby brother. And well, it was on sale for $4, so I let her buy it for him. She wanted it in the picture.
Here's a look at the other side of the room. Oh yeah, my mom recovered the chair and ottoman to. They used to be blue for Hudson's room. Then we recovered it yellow for Ruby's room and now its Cream for baby brothers room and sooo soft! The dresser was a horrible cream/tan color that I always wanted to paint for Ruby's room but never got around to it. So I finally painted it green for this room and it turned out perfect. The color looks a bit weird in the picture, but it is perfect!
Here's a few burp cloths I made as well. So baby, whenever your ready we are ready.
I have been horrible at taking pictures lately, just so much stuff going on. I took one of Hudson the other day doing his homework. He had to write a paragraph about what he would be doing this summer. This kid is so smart, to think he's just in kindergarten. He wrote the whole paragraph almost all on his own and even spelled all the words right! So proud of him. He loves school. What am I going to do with him all summer?
Trent ran in the Ogden marathon the relay portion of it and did great. Here he is with his mom who ran the 5k.
And I had to take a quick picture of my Ruby girl. She always wants to do "homework" when Hudson does his. For some reason on this day she wore her apron all day long. What a little "mama".
