Well, so things are super busy around here, so I've been a little MIA from blogging. I've been really busy with Hudson with kindergarten, Suzuki piano 2 days a week, soccer practice and games (I'm the coach), and letting him play with friends. Then I've also had book club, some canning, sewing projects, and I've been really busy with Sweet Ruby. I just got in a new boutique in Ogden, its right behind Costco on Lincoln. Everyone should go check it out. So many cute things in there.
Simple Gifts Boutique
3660 Lincoln (behind Costco in Ogden)
Open M-Th from 3:30-7:30
Saturdays from 12-5
Closed Fridays and Sundays.
Its right in between Kids are Music and Kids are Dance. Its a really awesome place and the booth rent is really reasonable. So we're going to give it a try for a bit and see what happens.
I was also sought after by a few online websites that sell over 7 million items a year, they want to sell my binky Blankets and Binky Clips. So Trent and I have been busy trying to crunch all the numbers. He said most people who sell through him within 3 months sell about 50 or more items a week. What!?!?!? I have been a little confused about all this. This is such a killer opportunity but I have to remember my first priority is as a mom and wife. And we want to have another baby soon, so I'm a bit nervous as to what I am getting myself into but the owner says he can work with us to get them manufactured when the time comes. YIKES!!! So we'll see what happens. We've decided to try it out for a bit, I won't be out anything if I get too busy or don't want to do it, just may lose out on a great opportunity and the money. Good thing Trent knows business, he's a great business partner and knows exactly what questions to ask to make sure that everything is ok and legal, and that we are on the high end of this deal, which we are. So I may get even busier. Its all up in the air for now, only time will tell. I may have to hire a few people, anyone want to be a Sweet Ruby Employee?

I did manage however to can some peaches. And boy are they good.
I can't wait to can some more soon. It was my first year doing it, made a huge mess, but it was worth it.

I also made some freezer peach jam. Oh man, peach jam is my down fall. I've already made 3 batches, super easy and soo good. Amy and I also canned Salsa. We made the biggest mess as well did our kids, but it turned out really good.

There was a huge giveaway a few weeks ago and I actually won something. I won the tie Hudson has on, its so cute. He loves wearing ties to be just like daddy.

April, that is so exciting about your business taking off. That's great that you can try it and back off if you need to. your kiddos are getting so big and they are so cute! We would love to have you guys visit, that would be so fun. San Antonio is only like 90 minutes away and your kids would love it! I'm just sayin;)
If you truly need an employee talk to me. I've got plenty of time between scooping and dropping off trays.
Really.
I could use an outlet.
I'd probably blog about it.

That is so awesome about your business! Good job! I've had Kate's blanket on her carseat and everyone asks about it and I send them your way :)
