Hudson was so excited to wake up and open presents. One of his favorites, Lego Indiana Jones. I think we'll have a new obsession soon.
Of course no Star Wars party would be complete without Princess Leia. The invitations said:
Invited you are... to a Galactic Birthday for Hudson Maw
"IN A GALAXY NOT SO FAR AWAY, ON THE DAY OF June 11th
IN THE YEAR 2002, A BABY BOY WAS BORN. FROM THE BEGINNING HIS ENERGY DREW THE ATTENTION OF THE JEDI COUNCIL, WHO NAMED HIM Hudson. THEY KNEW HE WAS THE CHOSEN ONE. IN THE 5 YEARS THAT FOLLOWED HIS BIRTH, YOUNG Hudson HAS BEEN LEARNING THE POWERS OF THE FORCE.
RECENTLY THOUGH, THE JEDI KNIGHTS HAVE FELT A STRONG DISTURBANCE IN THE FORCE. A DISTURBANCE GENERATED BY THE DARKSIDE…. MANY JEDI KNIGHTS HAVE BEEN LOST. THE VERY FUTURE OF THE JEDI ORDER IS NOW IN JEOPARDY.
THE JEDI COUNCIL HAS CALLED UPON YOUNG PADAWAN Hudson TO SEEK OUT FUTURE JEDI. YOUR YOUNG PADAWAN’S PRESENCE IS REQUESTED TO COMPLETE JEDI TRAINING ON June 11th.
THE TRIALS WILL BEGIN PROMPTLY AT (Time of the Party) PM AT THE (Child's Last Name) SYSTEM OF THE (Address Name) GALAXY, DOCKING BAY (Street Number).
PLEASE ADVISE THE JEDI COUNCIL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AT (RSVP Phone Number) AS TO WHETHER YOUR YOUNG PADAWAN WILL ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE OF THE TRIALS.
MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!”
I got the idea from Tip Junkie. I added the beginning, "invited you are" you gotta speak like Yoda when you can.
Hudson was all ready to go pin the lightsaber on Yoda.Oh and my mom made the Yoda cake. That's what she's famous for they are just as good as they look too.
We had a Jedi training Obstacle course. The kids had to crawl through a tunnel into the other galaxy, get on their Sith(big wheel) and ride through the galaxy. Run across the hot lava, and in the picture above, search for Yoda in the swamp. ...
climb over the last mountain and save Princess Leia. Of course we had Star Wars music playing most of the party. It turned out so fun and good thing part of my basement isn't finished because it was pouring rain so we couldn't do it outside like planned.

So cute!!!!
Yeah! I love seeing someone else who loves parties like we do!! Good for you for creating an amazing experience he'll remember...and yes, I made Madeline's dress for the kindergarten program, she wanted the lemon fabric, so....! I have to say it was super fun to let her "design" the dress. PS - tell your mom I am calling her for cake help next time! She is wonderful!
I was wondering about that cake, it was awesome. Jaren keeps talking about Hudson having Lego Indiana Jones. He can't wait to play it with him.
