(still no camera. I was hoping one of these days trent would surprise me with a nice new one, but who has $400-600 just lying around?)
So I got up today and ran 1 1/2 miles. I know not a lot considering some of Trent's family ran the 1/2 marathon on Saturday, as I'm sure some of you did, even his mom did. They are nuts but I think it is totally awesome. They set out to do it and did. Ever since I had Harry I was told to take it easy not to over exert myself for a few months to regain my strength and make sure I was ok. And then that was finally lifted I was stricken with those awful stomach pains and stomach flu symptoms on a daily basis. Well, I have to say that I have been symptom free for over 2 weeks now. YEAH!!!!!!!! We still aren't sure what was wrong, but probably had something to do with all of the antibiotics I was on in the hospital for the infection in my uterus and placenta. They were super strong and I was on two given back to back every hour for 2 days. That will do a # on your body. So I have been eating activia and taking a probiotic daily to get the good bacteria back to normal in my body and I feel so good. Thank heavens. I hope that's all it was. And I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't come back or I have to go have a colonoscopy, yikes?!?! Anyways, so I got up today and ran. I was dying running, but after I felt great. I even lifted weights so I can get my flabby arms back into shape, did some sit-ups, and leg lifts. Why am I telling you this? Well I hope to keep it up. I could care less to run a marathon, let alone a half marathon but I would love to get in shape and at least be able to run 3 miles to get my muscle back and get into shape. So I hope to keep it up. I'll keep tabs on the side and I could use some cheering from the benches. Also any tips?
We moved to his house in the winter and in Utah you all know that means snow, snow, snow. So when it all melted I was so excited to see what the previous owners had in the garden. Tulips, daffodil's and other perennials. I waited and waited and waiting. NOTHING!!! Are you kidding me? A house built in 1979 has no flowers coming up what so ever? So Trent and I are left to pick up the pieces. He's been digging up tons of bushes, redesigning the front flower garden, and he's been busy building us vegetable garden boxes for the backyard. He's been busy. So today I decided to go finish weeding, I guess you really do have more energy when you run. So while Ruby was taking her nap Hudson and I went outside and dug away. Man is my back going to hurt tomorrow. But I am so excited for what is to come.
I hope to plant one of these in hone of Harry in my front yard. Its a Yoshino Weeping Cherry Tree. Below is what they look like early spring and above is later. Isn't it gorg? And it only gets to be about 3ft tall. Perfect for where I want it in the front yard.
Also the previous owners had a daughter in a wheelchair so the front porch had a ramp. Trent took it off a few weeks ago and we are in the process of fixing the stairs and staining the wood. I can't wait to get a pair of the chairs like below for the big front patio we have. Ahhh, I can see it now, chilling with a good book/magazine with some lemonade.

I love your house, and can't wait to come and see all your renovations.
That is AWESOME you ran 1 1/2 miles! more than I can do for sure. its so hard to just get up and do it. but once you do its like "why don't i do this more often?" so funny and yeah gives you so much more energy and you feel great! Good luck, keep up the good work.
I've been doing Jillian Michael's 30 day shred. Just started AGAIN this week and I love it. Kicks your butt. you should give that a try, its like $10 at Walmart. Keep up the good work! you are so skinny and you look great.
You definitely need a camera because I want to see everything you do with your new house!
I wish that I could run but my stupid body. I can't wait to see your yard. It always looks so nice
Great job on the running, keep it up. Yeah we are doing our yard too and it is A LOT of work. At least you can put your own touch on things though.
That is crazy that there weren't any bulbs planted or anything. I'm sure you guys will make the yard look great though! That tree is really pretty, too - and that's a great idea to plant it in honor of Harry.
Keep up the good work running and excercising! And I'm so glad you haven't had any symptoms the last couple of weeks, I hope they are gone for good!
I'm glad you're feeling so much better! I definitely feel much better when I work out. I try to go to the gym everyday. I go to some of the classes - I'm sure it's funny seeing a big prego lady in there trying to do it all! But working out is my "me" time. It helps that I go to the gym because Emmy goes to the playroom there. If I do cardio, I read, so that's usually my reading time. I'm just scared to get out of the habit after I have the baby since I won't really be able to work out for a while. But the way I got addicted to working out is what I said, it turned into my "me" time, when I could be Michelle, and not mom, for a little while. I really enjoy going now and I've learned to really push myself. I love it!
So fun about your yard. I love that tree that you want to plant! So pretty. Can't wait to see pics of how it turns out :)
Give me another 2 months and we can keep tabs on each other. I need someone to be accountable to.
