Fruit and Veggie Co-op

Do you love fruits and veggies just as much as I do? Well, I just heard of a Co-op in Roy, Clearfield, and Brigham City, that for only $15 you get a laundry basket full of fruits and veggies. Crazy huh?!?! I am trying to get them to do an Ogden location. They go and pick up the fresh fruits and veggies for you and bring them to the different locations every other week and all you have to do is pay the one time $3.00 fee, no commitment and then each time pay $15 and go pick it up. All you have to do is pay by the Wednesday before by 10:00 pm, and then go pick up your stuff. Everyone gets the same amount, unfortunately you don't get to pick but hey its great.
Below is a list of what they got last time, its different every time:

2 leaf lettuce
2 bunch broccoli
2 big bags green grapes
9 tomatoes
2 cucumbers
1 pineapple
2 bunch bananas
6 mangoes
8 fuji apples
7 big red potatoes
1 1lb strawberries
4 small yellow squash

To read about the co-op and get more info click here. The pick-up in Roy is this Saturday, so the deadline is always the Wednesday before, so pay you have to pay and sign up today by 10:00pm. You better hurry if you want to do it because there are only 40 slots left at the Roy location when I paid. To pay just click here.
1-Select the basket you want, (usually there is an organic option but not this week.)
2-Select the date, there is always only one
3-Select the location: Roy, Clearfield, or Brigham City which ever is closest. I picked Roy.
4-select yes if this is your first basket, its a one time $3.00 fee
5-Then there is usually a specialty fruit item each time, this time is blackberries. There is also usually an option to pick fresh bread, the Honey Wheat is 5 loaves for $10, great deal. You must select no on each if you do not want them. The Italian food ingredient pack I heard is like herbs and special items like that.
6-Then click add to your cart. Once you've done so, on the left of that screen is your shopping cart, click on it and pay. Its that easy. Be sure to print off your order.
The website is a bit confusing so if you have any questions, want to carpool or meet at my house to drive together, I have an expedition so I can fit a few people and baskets, just email me at tamaw@msn.com. I already paid so I am for sure going. The pick time is not set yet but is usually about 7 or 8:00am and you have to be early. If you are late or don't show up they will give your basket away.
Anyways I thought this was a great way to get good fresh food, cheap and easy with no commitment. You can do it one time or each time.

It is my favorite thing in the world---it's like Christmas!!! It started down here in AZ and we've been doing it for around 8 mos. I'm so glad they got it going in UT!! You can volunteer to run the site and you'll get yours free.. :)

April, you always find the best deals. I am so exited, but there is only one bad thing about this, I looked at your blog a little to late. It is after 10:00 on Wensday and so now it is too late this time. Shucks! Hopefully next time there will still be opining, so I can join in. Thanks again for letting us know about this great deal.

April, How did it go on Saturday? Did you like it? Would you recommend it? I was going to do it, but I had a race early that morning and wouldn't have been able to pick them up. But if it was good, I for sure want to do it next time. Do you know when the next one is? Is it just once a month? I'm excited to hear how it went!
