We moved into a new house, which means new appliances, which means they should work amazing right? Wrong. I have hated my dishwasher since we moved in and supposedly its the top of the line. Every time I would unload the dishes it stunk so bad and the dishes looked worse than when I put them in.Well, a few weeks ago I was with my mom at RC Willey's shopping for a new washer and dryer for her. He showed her the Bosch one and said its the best. I said, whatever, that's what my dishwasher is and I hate it. He said, what? So I explained what was wrong, he said, are you using jet dry? I said, no just the tablets with jet dry. He explained to me that I need to use jet dry and then just any basic powder. He said hopefully I hadn't ruined it. So to clean it out he said to run a empty cycle with a scoop or two of tang. What? That sick orange drink? So I tried it and well, amazing, its as good as new. Here's why it works:
If the dishes come out spotted, or worse yet, with a soap film - try Tang. A scoop or two of Tang run through a full cycle in an empty dishwasher gives a better result. (It's the citric acid in the Tang that helps to clean the dishwasher itself.) Good as new. I got the info from here, a blog about everyday simple things, its awesome check it out.

that same thing happened to me until I started using jet dry and powder. I didn't know about the tan though. Do you have hard water?

Crazy crazy~ whoa! I will totally have to try this, because I HATE our dishwasher too. I don't even use it. I would just rather wash them all by hand.

Oh my Gosh it is amazing. Thankyou so much for posting this because we have been having problems with our dishwasher so Nate went out and bought some tang and we tried it and ok let me just say a huge difference. Now we dont have to get a new one yet.

Have I already told you I'm a blog stalker? Sorry!!!! But anyway- that is awesome info. Our dishwasher has been the pits lately, too, and doing the exact same thing as yours. The jet dry does help a ton, but I am going to try that Tang trick just to get it all cleaned out & running good again!
