OK so its not what you think.See, yesterday the kids kept getting into the computer room a lot so I shut the door. After they all went down for naps, I went to open the door, but the door was locked. I died. One of the kids must have locked it and it locks from the inside and we don't have a key. Who ever put that handle on that door was dumb. Its a door handle you would put on a door to the outside. I tried everything and nothing worked. I figured Trent could figure something out when he got home. I left to run some errands and as always set the alarm. Trent got home before me and as he walked in the door he heard the alarm go off, he went to turn it off, but the alarm system is in the computer room, behind the locked door. He panicked, not knowing what to do and then he realized we have an alarm key paid for our keys, but of course his isn't on his keys.He ended up finding it just in time to turn it off. If he wouldn't have, well, the alarm company would have starting talking to him and he couldn't have responded because it is in the computer room, and they would have sent someone to the house and he would have had to explain the dumb story to them, hopefully they would have believed him. My dad jokingly said he would have been shot on sight. Glad that didn't happen. Anyways, to end this long story, he tried everything to get it open and didn't want to break the door or the window to the room, so he got out the hack saw and sawed off the handle. Now we just need a new door handle.

Oh YEAH! That is the funniest story.
I love our alarm. but i hate it too. I always forget its on when I let spartacus out in the morning so I throw him out side and run to the laundry/mud room to turn it off. Luckily there is a 15 sec delay, so it just beeps to warn you.
when my bro was visiting he opened the door one morning (super early) we were all asleep, he just wanted to go on a walk. He heard the beeping and started to panic not knowing what to do.
And then the alarm went off. so the whole house was awake. We were laughing so hard because Nate was freaking out, he felt so bad.
good times.
well, on the bright side, at least you can get rid of that retarded door knob now.
How funny! I can just imagine myself panicking trying to figure out how to turn the alarm off. I'm excited to see you guys next week!
That is hilarious. I bet he was panicked. I would have been. I set the alarm off at the kids house that I was babysitting, good thing they gave me the code. When did you guys get an alarm system anyway?
