Thanks to Mommy Chef I decided to do something new for our family this year for Christmas. The 25 Books of Christmas. Each night the kids will take turns opening a present from the basket, which will be a book, (or a DVD, on black Friday, I bough The Grinch, Polar Express, and Elf for $3 each, so I added them to the mix for fun) and then we will read them as a family each night. I am so excited, the kids don't know and I think they will love it. Hudson loves to read and so does Ruby and it will be a
fun way for us to get excited about the holidays.
This is a picture of just a few of the ones I got.I began a few months ago and just whenever I found a good deal or a book I wanted to Christmas I grabbed them. I always find great deals at Seagull. I found a bunch of Christmas books there for under $2. I found some great ones in Seattle too. I am totally in love with children's books and thought this would be a great way for my kids to get into the holiday season. Some of the books are very special ones, so I will have to make sure they get taken care of, but I am excited. I will update you on how its going.

that is the cutest tradition. i might have to steal that idea when we have kids. i love traditions, christmas is my favorite time of year. i can't wait to see you guys!
your kids (and you) will have lots of fun with this i'm sure!
OH! they are going to love this! So fun.
That's a great idea! I've been trying to think of how I can make the season more exciting for Gage. He would love something like this, but we don't have enough Christmas books...maybe next year! :)
April this is a darling plan! We have a fun little tradition in the Lowe home, I don't know if you remember... you guys might do it too? There's an old soda-can box with 24 cubbies, and we get to alternate little presents every day 'til Christmas. I'm excited, I got Trent some fun little things. This is so funny, there are 3 Trents here!!
That is such a good idea. I need to start something with my family to count down to Christmas. You are so smart.
