We're Potty Trained!!!!!!

I didn't have much to post today, so I decided to brag a little. My little boy, Hudson, who isn't even 3 yet, is potty trained, and has been since March. Now maybe some of you don't care, but I sure do. I will tell those of you who haven't done it yet, that my personal opinion is that potty training is that worst thing about being a parent.
Back at Hudsons 2 year check up his Dr. said that I needed to start, that he was smart and advanced and was showing the signs. So I tried and it actually got off to a great start. We got him a little potty, he did great, a few accidents, but he did good. Then in about November he decided that he didn't want to go on the potty anymore, and kept having accidents. He had so many accidents, that I stopped nagging him and kept him in a pull-up instead of underwear and let him go when he wanted, plus Ruby was coming and I didn't want to deal with it. Then in January, he just started telling me he had to go. So I let him, but he kept having accidents and I felt like I was being mean and nagging him all the time, saying,"Do you need to go?" I tried everything, the bribing, sticker chart, but nothing worked. Well, then I saw this potty watch on t.v. and thought, hey, I'll try anything. So I bought it, it was $10, kind of a lot for a dumb watch for a kid I know, but I was willing to try anything. The way it works is, you can set it for 30 min, 60 min or 90 min, when the time is up, it will play a song, and then the child knows its time to go. It worked great, and he loved it. He caught on with the #1, but the #2 took awhile. I was ready to give up, having accidents in his pants everyday. I was sick of cleaning underwear and throwing it away. But I stuck to it, and one day he said he had to poo. He caught on and has been going ever since. I never have to ask him. He is even dry with naps. He does wear a pull-up to bed at night, but as soon as he wakes up dry he won't wear one of those anymore. So to all of you parents out there wondering about potty training? Well, my opinion is wait for the signs, really wait till they are ready, be patient it takes awhile, and get a potty watch. Good luck.

I've heard with boys you should just wait until they tell you otherwise they may do well and first, but then go backward.
Sounds like I'll be waiting till next spring.
